Use Cases

Four use cases of industrial engineering lab are presented: IVAR by TalTech, Smart Factory by SDU, and DARB and PERFORM by CNR-STIIMA.

Each lab is described in terms of assets, software resources, virtual lab, access, and possible activities.

In particular, the following data are provided for each lab:

• JSON file modelling the assets of the lab and the VR scene
• JSON file defining the environment for a VR visualization
• Ontology serialized in turtle format
• Link to visualize the virtual lab via browser using the VEB.js web application

All data are summarized in the table here below and are freely available on the VirLaDEE GitHub repository. In particular, the 3D models of the assets have been developed with dedicated 3D CAD software tools and then exported to GLB format.
